I HAVE BEEN SUPER PISSED OFF BY NESTLES PURCHASE IN 2016 OF A WATER WELL IN A SMALL TOWN IN ONTARIO/THEY OUTBID THE TOWN LEAVING THE COMPANY TO SUCK ONE OF OUR GREATEST AND MOST DESIRED OR LACKING NATURAL RESOURCES TO THE CORPORATE GREED AND POLLUTING CONGLOMMERATE...OF COURSE ITS NOT IN THE BUDGET OF A SMALL TOWN TO TAKE ON A HUGE CORPORATION WITH BOTTOMLESS POCKETS AND BUDGETS TO PURCHASE OUR NATURAL RESOURCES FROM THE LANDOWNER/WHICH I BELIEVE SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN TO COURT AS IT DRAINS THE WATER FROM EVERWHERE IN THE AREA . SumOfUs donation scam
I wanted to contribute to the SumOfUs organisation but after my first donation of $5 I realised that it was being converted to US dollars by my bank with an extra charge attached (my mistake for not checking out in depth before committing). I have written to the SumOfUs twice via their contact page and their Facebook page requesting to stop the donations, but had no reply and the money keeps coming out every months.
I have now initiated a complaint and request for refund from my own bank, and it's looking like I may have to cancel my card completely to stop these people from taking my money as asking them has no effect. BE WARNED!!
They have no street address on their website either, so who IS the SumOfUs org anyway? Scamwatch alert...

How very hypocritical of fundraising site SumofUs having a petition and collecting funds just to denouce a judicial verdict some members dont like. Sumofus is trying to get the GOFundMe page to support innocent farmer Stanley removed because it stands for hate and racism.
But its okay to have a gofundme page for the violent offenders that perputated this crime spree?, check it out the Boushie family also has a page that has raised over 180G. So its okay to support criminal behavior but not innocent people. The innocent farmer didnt ask or invite them onto his private property, he was only protecting his family and property and now his life is ultimatelty disrupted as well. Receiving death threats?
wow thats how the other side works, fight justice with death threats? just goes to show how easily the race card gets played all too often just because you dont like the verdict.
If you cant do the time dont so the crime.. Support the innocent rights of all Canadians not just the different race who dont follow the Canadian law

I responded to their first email. I like to support people who are raising issues.
Today I got an email asking for funds. I was suspicious of the way it was worded so I looked up reviews. Found this! I will NOT be making any donations to them, due to what I believe is bad marketing practice.
As to their veracity, I'm already not interested.
100 plus words? What's all that about. I don't have time for these sort of games. Do you make money out of my words, or what?
Now I'm up to eighty one, eighty two, eighty nine, ninety two, three, nearly there, just six more to go. Done.

I too was conned into donating an amount of money AND a monthly amount through paypal. I immediately cancelled the monthly payment but don't think I have any chance of recouping the $250. This scam came via facebook so I will be reporting it to them too.

I read their Emails but have never given them a cent. They are alarmist and lacking facts to back up many of their claims, some of which turnout to be bogus (such as the one I just received about Costco destroying the Canadian forests to make toilet paper). They have a very distinct Left Wing political agenda which makes me rather suspicious that they are simply out to sabotage Western economies at any cost.
The last part of your comment makes you lose all credibility.
I'm not supporting to anyone or thing that can't express itself without using vulgar language in their subject lines. There are equally impactful words besides p____ed that can express outrage and anger.
The email that I received re: Monsanto from =sumofus could have gotten my attention without the tenth-grader vulgarity.

It's rotten when people like that take money from people that want to do good in the world and don't use it for what it was intended. I'd definitely cancel my card right away if I was you.
They are a legit non-profit advocacy group looking out for communities and fighting for environmental caused and against corporate power and resource grabs. All of their audits and 990 forms are available on their website in the funding section.
Using our donated monies for their own political agenda is beyond hateful.
